Riverside Heritage Art Deck Contest
Skate & Create: Deck Art Challenge
Presented by The Collection Skate ShopIn Collaboration with Art Lab Studios.
Call to Artists
The Riverside Heritage Art Deck Contest invites artists, designers, illustrators, and skaters to take part in a creative challenge that merges skateboarding, street art, and Riverside history.
This contest is more than just an art competition — it is an opportunity to contribute to the visual identity of Riverside skate culture.
The winning design will help establish one of the first official 1870 Riverside Heritage Art Deck designs, which will be pressed, produced, and distributed by
The Collection Skate Shop.
This means your artwork could become part of a limited-run skateboard deck series representing Riverside’s cultural and artistic legacy.
Whether you're a muralist, digital artist, painter, or skater with a strong visual style, this challenge is for the community and the culture.
The Vision
The goal of this challenge is simple:
Capture the essence of skate culture through the lens of Riverside heritage.
We are looking for designs that combine the energy of skateboarding with the historical and cultural identity of Riverside, a city whose roots trace back to 1870.
Artists are encouraged to explore themes such as:
• Skateboarding culture and street creativity• The heritage and landscape of Riverside• Local history and cultural symbols• The connection between movement, art, and community
This contest will help launch The Collection Skate Shop’s 1870 Heritage Deck Series, celebrating Riverside through skateboard art.
The selected artwork may become one of the first decks produced in this heritage series.
